MIPA Thank You Current Art Exhibit
Dear friends,
Thank you for shaping what MIPA came to be: time spent together connecting, making new contacts and enriching our friendships; time spent together involved, sharing thoughts, insights and experiences relevant to our professional endeavors.
The time has come to start a new chapter and move on to new beginnings. With each of us passionately engaged in our life pursuits and with our initiator moving to Europe in 2012, MIPA will dissolve and discontinue end of 2011.
Each of us looks forward to continue being in touch with you in many other different ways; info@mipadetroit.org remains a good point of contact to reach us at.
It is your friendship, support and engagement that made MIPA possible: thank you.

About The Artist
I was born and raised near Stuttgart, Germany and have always enjoyed arts and crafts. First I took drawing classes which I now benefit from. Then I added very light colors with watercolor before I started with acrylics. Now I favor acrylics because of the vivid colors and only use this medium for my paintings. I especially enjoy painting buildings and landscapes. Michigan with its four seasons, landscapes and lakes makes a beautiful scenery for painting.
Even though I like art I decided to do something completely different for living and became a banker. In 2005 I moved to the US when my husband was sent on an international assignment. We lived for two-and-a-half years in a small town in East Tennessee where we enjoyed the southern hospitality and the mild winters. In 2007, we moved to Michigan and I started taking painting lessons with a local artist. I learned a lot from my teacher. In addition to painting, I started scrapbooking so I can get creative with the pictures I take of my one year old son.
I am very thankful for my time in the US and to the people I meet and work with.
