About The Artist
I was born and raised near Stuttgart, Germany and have always enjoyed arts and crafts. First I took drawing classes which I now benefit from. Then I added very light colors with watercolor before I started with acrylics. Now I favor acrylics because of the vivid colors and only use this medium for my paintings. I especially enjoy painting buildings and landscapes. Michigan with its four seasons, landscapes and lakes makes a beautiful scenery for painting. In 2007, we moved to Michigan after 2 years in Tennessee and I started taking painting lessons with a local artist. I learned a lot from my teacher. In addition to painting, I started scrap-booking so I can get creative with the pictures I take of my one year old son. I am very thankful for my time in the US and to the people I meet and work with.

F I B E R A R T by Deb Hyde. Deb Hyde wants to ”represent the beauty of the figure in [her] own style, imbued with [her] own emotional response. [Quilting] is time-consuming, precise and restrictive.” She say:s “it forces me to concentrate on my interest in bold form and intense color and forego the extraneous. Although the medium in which I create belongs to a great american craft tradition, my images, in their classical beauty and composition, raise my craft to an art.”
