The trio was formed in 2003 and has performed with the big band “One Beat Back” at Andiamos Showplace and at festivals and events around the Metro area. Their voices bring into the modern age a repertoire that includes everything from “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” to “I Say A Little Prayer”. Dressed in 1940′s style wardrobe, the three also sing classics from The Andrews Sisters such as “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree”, “Some of These Days” and “Sincerely”.

Dave has been a professional improvisation performer for over 15 years. He has taught improvisation for Detroit Second City and several other venues. His performances have landed him in Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, Toronto and several places in-between. Locally, you can typically catch Dave performing at Hamtramck’s Planet Ant Theatre most Monday evenings. He is also an accomplished stage actor, stand-up comedian and proud member of the Screen Actors Guild.

At MIPA’s kick off event, Leon Wilson shared how his mastery of chess was key in his success in his sales and marketing career introducing new products for large corporations such as Mattel, Microsoft and Johnson Controls. He is a FIDE certified chess instructor and holds a doctorate in consumer behavior.
Mr. Wilson joined us for the evening traveling from Columbus, Ohio.
