You are curious. You want to know.
At some point, it was time to create a space, time and atmosphere where lasting connections are made and new thoughts are created. For everyone. For those looking to make contacts. And for those interested in advancing their professional life and businesses.
Here in Michigan, these past four years, I enjoyed and had the great fortune of meeting many people. And probably you. These encounters were amazing: an open heart, a readiness for new initiatives and unwavering support. Enough to make someone feel welcome. And all this was happening during an economic downturn of unprecedented magnitude.
So, I naturally jumped on the bandwagons and got involved in all initiatives people were offering: structuring the Loaves & Fishes food pantry cooperative in Southwest Detroit, volunteering at the DEC National Summit conference and attending events, Inforumvolunteering, attending breakfasts and events, teaching at church, attending some LA2Mmeetings, a temporary assignment with Yazaki N.A. Inc., Junior Achievement, GPWA, contractor with Balance 4 Earth LLC, and as board member of Frenchinstitute.org! Among others, I got involved with a close-knit team of French-speaking women with plenty of ideas and energy who wanted to network and continue on their professional paths … We put our hearts in that project. It grew fast and always more people were coming. From constantly meeting so many people, we invited everyone interested. And as all things in life, MIPA happened with passion, patience and humor.
Now, with Susanne, Sylvia and Hadidja, we organize events for business professionals from all over to connect and exchange ideas in a highly-dynamic environment and in a relaxed setting. We invite speakers who are passionate about their topic, welcome a different artist every event, offer tasty warm delicacies and meet in the comfortable wooden atmosphere of the Franklin Grill and other venues. That’s MIPA.
I truly hope that when you come you meet new faces, connect with old friends and get involved.
See you soon.
